Christmas in Heaven
by Deborah Davis

1998, 1999, 2000

dedicated to those who remember loved ones during the Christmas Season
as I remember:
Papa, Grandma, Granny Couch, Daddy, Max, B.W., L.V., J.E. McKinney, Dot Arnold, Bea Payne, Grace Clayton, Uncle Lee, Papa Davis, Daisy, Ma Foster, Tara and Megan Bishop, Ronnie Chastain, Papa Kiser, Ma Kiser, Johnny Blackwell, Donald Ledbetter, Kendra Howell,
Paul Reinhardt, J.T. Hill, Hoyt Williams, David Goss, Bud Owen, Robert Dunn, Larry Wilson, Johnny Dunn, Clara Lewis, and countless others as memories of their lives flood my heart.

We know you're sad and really miss us
As you remember us this Christmas.
To grieve and mourn you wouldn't be
if you could see the sights we see!

The brightest lights you have there
to what we have, just don't compare!
No pain or sadness, only joy and love
Where Jesus himself is the light hereof.

Enjoy the love and all the trimmings
and for our absence have no misgivings.
On Earth Christmas is a day a year,
in Heaven, it's always Christmas here!

Remember us best in joy and sharing
in acts of love and deeds of caring.
Don't let the date get in the way,
Practice Christmas every day.

The good things you can do, do not wait,
For one day it may be too late.
A helping hand, your self giving,
While you yet live, serve the living.

Take hope in that long ago night
when God sent Everlasting Light,
a part if Himself down to Earth,
so all can have second birth.

We want to share Heaven with you,
and want you here with us, too.
Please, before your life is done,
Trust in Christ, the Holy One.

Grieve not for us these special days,
We are serving God in eternal praise.
When you praise the Saviour with us,
You can always be with us for Christmas.
